2019-03-14git p4 test: use 'test_atexit' to kill p4d and the watchdog processJohannes Schindelin
Use 'test_atexit' to run cleanup commands to stop 'p4d' at the end of the test script or upon interrupt or failure, as it is shorter, simpler, and more robust than registering such cleanup commands in the trap on EXIT in the test scripts. Note that one of the test scripts, 't9801-git-p4-branch.sh', stops and then re-starts 'p4d' twice in the middle of the script; take care that the cleanup functions to stop 'p4d' are only registered once. Note also that 'git p4' tests invoke different functions in the trap on EXIT ('cleanup') and in the last test before 'test_done' ('kill_p4d'). Register both of these functions with 'test_atexit' for now, and a a later patch in this series will then clean up the redundancy. 2015-04-04git-p4: fix filetype detection on files opened exclusivelyBlair Holloway
If a Perforce server is configured to automatically set +l (exclusive lock) on add of certain file types, git p4 submit will fail during getP4OpenedType, as the regex doesn't expect the trailing '*exclusive*' from p4 opened: //depot/file.png#1 - add default change (binary+l) *exclusive* Signed-off-by: Blair Holloway <blair_holloway@playstation.sony.com> Acked-by: Luke Diamand <luke@diamand.org> Signed-off-by: Luke Diamand <luke@diamand.org> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
2015-04-04git-p4: small fix for locked-file-move-testLuke Diamand
The test for handling of failure when trying to move a file that is locked by another client was not quite correct - it failed early on because the target file in the move already existed. The test now fails because git-p4 does not properly detect that p4 has rejected the move, and instead just crashes. At present, git-p4 has no support for detecting that a file has been locked and reporting it to the user, so this is the expected outcome. 2015-04-04git-p4: fix small bug in locked test scriptsLuke Diamand
Test script t9816-git-p4-locked.sh test #4 tests for adding a file that is locked by Perforce automatically. This is currently not supported by git-p4 and so is expected to fail. However, a small typo meant it always failed, even with a fixed git-p4. Fix the typo to resolve this. Signed-off-by: Luke Diamand <luke@diamand.org> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
2014-01-22git p4 test: examine behavior with locked (+l) filesPete Wyckoff
The p4 server can enforce file locking, so that only one user can edit a file at a time. Git p4 is unable to submit changes to locked files. Currently it exits poorly. Ideally it would notice the locked condition and clean up nicely. Add a bunch of tests that describe the problem, hoping that fixes appear in the future.
