2019-01-02rebase: run post-checkout hook on checkoutOrgad Shaneh
The scripted version of rebase used to run this hook on the initial checkout. The transition to built-in introduced a regression. Signed-off-by: Orgad Shaneh <orgads@gmail.com> Acked-by: Johannes Schindelin <johannes.schindelin@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
2019-01-02t5403: simplify by using a single repositoryOrgad Shaneh
There is no strong reason to use separate clones to run these tests; just use a single test repository prepared with more modern test_commit shell helper function. While at it, replace three "awk '{print $N}'" on the same file with shell built-in "read" into three variables. Revert d42ec126aa717d00549e387d5a95fd55683c2e2c which is a workaround for Cygwin that is no longer needed. 2014-06-09t/t5403-post-checkout-hook.sh: avoid "test <cond> -a/-o <cond>"Elia Pinto
The construct is error-prone; "test" being built-in in most modern shells, the reason to avoid "test <cond> && test <cond>" spawning one extra process by using a single "test <cond> -a <cond>" no longer exists. 2009-03-17disable post-checkout test on CygwinAlex Riesen
It is broken because of the tricks we have to play with lstat to get the bearable perfomance out of the call. Sadly, it disables access to Cygwin's executable attribute, which Windows filesystems do not have at all. 2009-03-03clone: run post-checkout hook when checking outJeff King
The mental model for clone is that the branch is "checked out" (and it even says this in Documentation/git-clone.txt: "...creates and checks out an initial branch"). Therefore it is reasonable for users to expect that any post-checkout hook would be run. Signed-off-by: Jeff King <peff@peff.net> Signed-off-by: Junio C Hamano <gitster@pobox.com>
