2019-11-18revision: move doc to revision.hHeba Waly
Move the documentation from Documentation/technical/api-revision-walking.txt to revision.h as it's easier for the developers to find the usage information beside the code instead of looking for it in another doc file. Also documentation/technical/api-revision-walking.txt is removed because the information it has is now redundant and it'll be hard to keep it up to date and synchronized with the documentation in the header file. 2012-03-30Teach revision walking machinery to walk multiple times sequenciallyHeiko Voigt
Previously it was not possible to iterate revisions twice using the revision walking api. We add a reset_revision_walk() which clears the used flags. This allows us to do multiple sequencial revision walks. We add the appropriate calls to the existing submodule machinery doing revision walks. This is done to avoid surprises if future code wants to call these functions more than once during the processes lifetime. Most of them are still stubs, but the procedure to build the HTML documentation, maintaining the index and installing the end product are there. I placed names of people who are likely to know the most about the topic in the stub files, so that volunteers will know whom to ask questions as needed.
